About the Role
We are looking for a Senior / Lead Full-Stack Engineer to join our DwellSafe team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning critical parts of a production codebase, working across the entire stack, and helping shape both technical direction and delivery standards.
You will work closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to build secure, scalable, and user-friendly healthcare solutions. While this is a leadership-leaning role, it remains deeply hands-on, with a strong emphasis on writing high-quality code.

Location: Remote-friendly. We’re open to distributed candidates and care more about overlap, communication, and ownership than where you’re based.
What You’ll Do
- Take technical ownership of core areas of a full-stack Amplify application
- Design, build, and maintain frontend features using modern React and TypeScript
- Develop and evolve backend services using AWS Amplify, AppSync (GraphQL), Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3
- Ensure solutions meet healthcare-grade security, privacy, and reliability expectations
- Partner with product and UX to translate requirements into clean, scalable implementations
- Contribute to code reviews and help raise the overall quality of the codebase; mentor others as the team grows
- Contribute to architectural decisions around scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Support CI/CD pipelines and environment-aware deployments across multiple stages
- Participate in production support and ongoing optimization
What We’re Looking For
- Significant professional experience building and owning production software (typically 5–8+ years, but we care more about capability and impact than exact tenure)
- Strong experience building full-stack web applications
- Deep proficiency in:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- React and modern frontend patterns
- GraphQL APIs (schema design, queries, mutations, authorization)
- Hands-on experience with AWS, ideally including:
- Amplify (Gen 1 or Gen 2)
- AppSync
- Lambda
- DynamoDB
- S3 and CloudFront
- Experience owning or maintaining production systems
- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
- Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across disciplines
Nice to Have
- Experience working on healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains
- Knowledge of HIPAA-aligned architectures or compliance-driven development
- Experience with observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform)
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical initiatives
