We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Safety and Occupational Therapy Manager to lead our team of specialists and directly contribute to the assessment process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Therapy, be passionate about new technologies, and eager to use advanced tools to enhance home safety. This role involves managing a team of safety specialists, working closely with DwellSafe partners, and collaborating with Directors to help evolve and improve the overall platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Home Safety Specialists, providing guidance, support, and continuous development.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to implement safety measures.
• Conduct comprehensive virtual and in-person home safety assessments using DwellSafe’s proprietary assessment platform.
• Evaluate fall risks, identify potential safety hazards, and recommend practical solutions to mitigate identified risks.
• Provide empathetic and personalized advice to clients, ensuring recommendations are tailored to individual needs.
• Work closely with DwellSafe partners to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the DwellSafe platform, providing insights and feedback based on field experience.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in home safety and occupational therapy.
• Maintain high standards of documentation accuracy and client confidentiality.
• Organize and facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on home health or geriatric care.
• Proven experience in team management or leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of home safety principles and fall prevention strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and interact empathetically with clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for virtual assessments.
• Strong written communication skills for accurate documentation and team guidance.
